This spectacular deer fence is in Southampton, Long Island. It surrounds a 112 x 72 foot garden owned by landscape designer Lisa Bynon. Read the article and view more photos here. WOW.

YIKES!!
HOW ABOUT LEAVING IT!?!
IT LOOKS UNBELIEVABLY CHIC!!
JUST LIKE THAT!!
(Oh, so sorry to yell like that! I got so excited!) It looks so great! (and the whole center part is so good for the birds!!)
I think garden architecture is just as fascinating as the plants it compliments and protects. What fun it is to "visit" this garden. You find the best places to "take" us, Rosemary. On Sunday, I will be working with the young historic interpreters at Gunston Hall to build a wattle fence using wisteria vines (we don't have a source for willow). I'll let you know how it turns out. Linda
That sounds like a fun project. Wish I were there to help. I blogged about Prince Charles with his own wattle fence here: http://contentinacottage.blogspot.com/2010/04/nbc-to-air-prince-charles-film-on.html

I think it is my favorite lawn I have ever seen!
Penelope
Now that is a fence! It is raining here too, cats and dogs, then a rest and more cats and dogs.
I hope that you, Webster and tabitha have a lovely weekend, in spite of the rain.
Penelope...Mine too. We have a fence height regulation around here and I wonder if this one would pass? I love what's inside too
Elizabeth...
Fingers crossed that the rain is over but I doubt it. We'll see. I'm enjoying indoor activities.
