I was glad I had my iPhone in my back pocket early this morning when I took the cat and the dog outside. This slug was much longer than the photo. I cropped it because the front of this large slimy invertebrate was the focal point.

they used to come out at night when we lived in virginia...

A Leopard Slug - how gorgeous. One of the largest land slugs in the world. The ones in our garden grow to over 10cm.
Nature is a marvel.
