The Skunk Cabbage is Spreading

The woods are being overtaken by the spreading skunk cabbage in the wetlands to the rear of my cottage.

Alaska and skunk cabbage was rampant - and it wasn't until years later that I learned we were supposed to hate the smell of it, it always reminds me of spring and I long for a touch of the scent in late winter.; December 16, 2012 at 2:20 AM
