A Nice Story about Getting Chickens

Here is a nice little post about a family in the UK and their 'girls' - they don't want their dog to know they are chickens. Read story here.

Hello, If you don't want the image to appear, just use the simple image rather than the lightbox that you've put in. Thanks for linking to it! http://www.fennelandfern.co.uk/blog/2012/04/17/keeping-chickens/

LOL, I loved reading about the "Girls!". Raising one's own chickens seems to be the latest trend. One of my nephews built a chicken coup that looks better than my house. I'm sure his "Girls" lay the most heavenly eggs due to their accommodation.

Hello,
Finally catching up on your blog.

I saw this and chuckled. My sister-in-law and her husband also raise hens, also in the UK. They, too, refer to them as "the girls." And yes, the eggs are quite flavorful.

They just adopted two more, whose feathers were quite bare. Check out this photo of my sister-in-law's answer to their needs! So adorable.
