Winter in Bruges Belgium

It's beautiful any time of year, but Bruges is magical in winter. via

I have always loved Fidel, the most photographed dog of Bruges.  He is constantly looking out his window and usually has a pillow handy in case he needs a little nap.

what a sweet dog! I could happily share his window.

This looks like a wonderful fairy tale sort of place. Love Fidel's vantage point.

I like Bruges and visited twice in summer and autumn. But I never saw it from this point of view. These are so beautiful pictures.
Wish you a Happy New Year.

Tina.

When we had the chance to take one more quick long weekend trip before leaving Germany to return to the states, our children chose Bruges, the only place we paid a second visit. We all thought it most enchanting (and loved their chocolates, too.) It was many years ago and before this dear dog took his post in the window. Is he waiting for his master to return or just keeping an eye on the canal?
Happy New Year's Eve day, Rosemary.
