1949 Chevy Bookmobile Survivor

I can't even tell you how much I love this old bookmobile from the Anderson, SC Library. It was in continuous service until 1991. Found on A Pretty Book. View complete history of this traveling library here: Bookmobile Survivor The only thing that could possibly bring more joy would be an ice cream truck.

You're so right, an ice cream truck visit brings back memories of long summer afternoons and popsicles.

Thanks for the link:) I love your blog.

I just love this!! Visiting my grandparent in England as child, the book buss came every week but this is so charming - thanks for sharing.

Oh Rosemary ~ this is such a gem! I work part-time at our local library and I would be oh so happy to volunteer to drive the bookmobile if we had one like this!!

Love,
