If I were designing an office from scratch this might be
the one. I can picture myself in this space paying bills, blogging, playing on the computer, addressing Christmas cards, listening to Christmas music and flipping through books. All of my favorite modern volumes on architecture and interior design could live there. My collection of antiquarian books with fine bindings would be in the library with a wood burning fireplace.

It's nice--efficient, clean--but I prefer your little pantry remake with its cozy radiator for luscious warmth. Comparing the two--actually there is no comparison--I would be much more comfortable in your little nook.
My books would be so happy there! I love the cozy feel to this space.
