Very pretty, Rosemary! I love your picket fence and the finials on the end posts. I have a red Japanese Maple in my yard that I can see every morning while having my coffee. I never tire of looking at it and this morning the cardinal family was visiting it.

I enjoy your blog very much and wanted to share that the tree with the lovely colors seems to be a sassafras tree. I learned as a child that it is the only tree that will have three different shaped leaves on it- a regular oval, mittens with one thumb and mittens with two thumbs. Scratch the bark on a branch and it should smell like root beer.

Rosemary what a treat it's been having a visual wander around your wonderful property! It's so like the countryside up here in the Adelaide Hills. Gosh your Fall leaves are dropping quickly, I can really feel the chill in your air.
