Wonderful 19th Century Bookplate

How wonderful. I couldn't agree more. I still think about certain books I loaned out and never got back. I remember one in particular and know who has it but it's a book I can live without. When I was very young, I turned down the corners of book pages and then I quit. It still pains me to think about all those times I hurt a book. via

Hi, Just a note to thank you for posting. I always enjoy dropping by to see what you have posted.
I do love to read and I NEVER turn down the page corners. My book club members pick up book marks in all the exotic places we travel. I have quite a collection now and always use them
Just finished reading The Dutch House by Anne Pachett & The Lost Man by Jane Harper. & just found my favourite read for 2019 A Gentleman in Moscow by Amor Towles for $1 at the thrift store (in perfect, perhaps unread condition) .... lucky me
Read on
Regards Janine

I wonder how effective this book plate was/is. I too am guilty of turning page corners in my younger years. I still prefer reading an actual book over kindle or other such devices, right now I have over a dozen books on my nightstand...I usually read myself to sleep.
