I'm in awe of how beautiful both mother and daughter are so soon after the ordeal of childbirth. I could barely stagger out of bed at that point, too exhausted to care what I looked like. What a life, but I do so enjoy being able to have a peek at them. Lovely family, eternally gracious and cheerful. I'm happy with Alice.
what a wonderful picture of that little face. i thought i remember reading months ago ... that they were considering margaret ... for the queen's sister... and that the queen was very touched and pleased. maybe that report was made up by a zealous royal journalist!

Gorgeous baby girl. I think she looks a lot like Prince George. Hopefully we will know her name soon. The bets seem to be on Alice. :-)
I hope they use both her great grandmother's and grandmother's names, Diana Elizabeth, along with whatever other names the like.
She is a beautiful baby for only being 10 hours old when this photo was taken.
It's all very exciting. It will be so fun watching her grow up, although photos of the Cambridge children are much more scarce than the Wales were.
