I don't know about you, but nothing tastes good to me except fresh fruit and green vegetables. This must be my body's way of recovering from all the fancy rich food I've been eating lately. I had my first office meeting of the year yesterday and I took some candy for the agents to enjoy so it wouldn't tempt me at a weak moment.

It's funny; in the beginning of December, I just want treats...all the things I haven't had since last Christmas. Then, come January, I just want to throw out all the remainders and eat salad! I'm researching root cellars and cold storage rooms, so hopefully, by this time next year, I'll be enjoying apples from our trees though the farm be covered in snow!
Rosemary, I ordered apples from my g.son thru his school....once again they are tasteless and soft. Boring !!! This is my last time for that. I love good apples, they are hard to find with true flavor ,at the grocery. I just can't do tart. Good for you getting rid of the treats. Myself, I ate everything..shame on me.:(:( Stay strong girl, Susie
Sometimes, I crave just fresh foods. The apple in the photo looks good.
Rosemary, so very well put. I recently re-read Michael Pollan's Food Rules as a reminder of this very concept. Happy New Year to you! teaorwine
Rosemary,
I am feeling the same way. I've been craving clean food, grilled chicken breast, simple rice, greens tossed with a French vinaigrette. I've had more candy, cookies and rich meals than can possibly be good for a person. But it sure was fun!
