Today is the first of March and I can't decide if it has come to my area like a Lion or a Lamb. It is overcast and cold with a few snowflakes beginning to fall as a major snow storm heads this way by evening. I could wake up to a foot of snow on Monday morning so this is probably the calm before the storm. Can you believe it? Yesterday was beautiful with cloudless blue skies. What a difference a day makes!
I am going to pick Lion because the old saying is that if March comes in like a LION it will go out like a LAMB. We will see if I made the right call at the end of the month.

It is the same here--blowing snow(with more to come this evening and into Mon.), after a bright and sunny and almost warm day yesterday. Just gotta get through this last month of possible wintry weather.....

Here in "sunny" California it's 52 degrees and RAINING! Yes! Glorious rain, much-needed rain. We know very well what July can be like in these drought years so we're praying for more.
Does a soft, lovely rain count as coming in like a lion?
It's a very lamb-like day here in So California. Very similar to yesterday: sunny with a few clouds, expecting close to 80 degrees. A perfect day for gardening, car-washing, bike riding - all of which I can see going on right now outside my window. Time to get off this computer and go out to join the neighborhood! Have a beautiful Sunday!
It's a lamb-like March 1st. here in Montreal. Cold but clear & sunny. I guess we should expect a lion when March checks out. Oh, well, Sigh....
For the first time in many weeks, the searing heat has left us here in South Australia. However, Fall has come ridicuously early, due to the terrible drought all the big trees are dropping their canopies quickly & far too early, it's so sad. I love your optimistic choice Rosemary, a Lion it is then.
As I've seen snippets of your delightful kitchen, would you be willing to graciously participate in a challenge over at The Hedge?
Millie ^_^
Since the weather's been both wintery and Spring-like here, it's kind of Liamb-ish. And... what a beautiful picture, Rosemary!
