When I first moved to NJ I lived in a delightful rental cottage on an estate that had a stream where I was able to pick as much as I wanted. Nothing compares to watercress picked from cold waters.
xo, RosemaryContent in a Cottagehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10075511188721176895noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7823162730236792476.post-71992053429831003502018-07-11T12:11:57.973-04:002018-07-11T12:11:57.973-04:00I was just browsing back through your posts when ...I was just browsing back through your posts when I spotted this. I live a 15 minute drive from Ovington, it's near a lovely market town called Alresford, and also Winchester.
The shallow chalk streams are abundant around these parts, and great for Trout fishing along with watercress growing. Alresford has a watercress festival once a year which draws a massive crowd, the high street is closed for all the stalls, many of which have a watercress theme!
I've visited your site for many years and your curation of gorgeous images always makes me smile!
Thank you,
Sarah - Hampshire UKSarahhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04367559387430108675noreply@blogger.com
