I would hate for you to ever go through that again. Great that you have a reliable service provider too. Looks like your are ready for what may come if needed. The Queen Veehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14073356255364772381noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7823162730236792476.post-41588615002230506072017-11-10T20:24:28.531-05:002017-11-10T20:24:28.531-05:00A wise decision to have a reliable generator at yo...A wise decision to have a reliable generator at your beck and call! Even better to have excellent installers and service people! We had a Kohler generator installed when we built our most recent house and have found it to be invaluable. We live on a dirt road in rural Vermont and our power lines run through our woods and meadows. A stiff wind will often cause a tree to fall on the wires!
Mundihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07048955416282561932noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7823162730236792476.post-30502701483923665382017-11-08T09:53:50.240-05:002017-11-08T09:53:50.240-05:00Kit -- My generator will be fully functioning afte...Kit -- My generator will be fully functioning after next week's test and electrical inspection. I haven't lost power that much since Superstorm Sandy 5 years ago when my mother and I had no power for 12 days. Nothing since then more than 4 hours at a clip thanks to all the tree trimming done by the town. But a 15 minute loss of power makes me hyperventilate. Now that I have a generator, I'll probably never have another power loss, but the peace of mind will be priceless. Plus it's a capital improvement that will increase the value of my cottage. xo, RosemaryContent in a Cottagehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10075511188721176895noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7823162730236792476.post-37467199189932207542017-11-08T09:48:27.749-05:002017-11-08T09:48:27.749-05:00Pam -- Maybe the farms have well water. Every time really bad weather was predicted, I ran a bathtub full of water for flushing. And pitchers of water for drinking and making coffee on my gas stove. I would have been a grumpy pioneer.
Farms have the animals to think of and they need water too.
xo, RosemaryContent in a Cottagehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10075511188721176895noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7823162730236792476.post-26091529370656680512017-11-08T08:04:09.127-05:002017-11-08T08:04:09.127-05:00In the past few years, I've noticed more gener...In the past few years, I've noticed more generators at nearby farms. One of the reasons might be that there's a local business selling and servicing them. Rosemary, I'm glad you have found a reliable company to serve your needs. It gives peace of mind!Pamhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04495841077527091378noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7823162730236792476.post-74189263084159412432017-11-07T16:53:58.496-05:002017-11-07T16:53:58.496-05:00It looks great! Only I have to say, in the summers here it runs all the time. Have a great week! I drove by this morning by entering my horseshoe drive from that side and I didn't even see the generator because of the tall spruce tree. But I admire your ingenuity painting yours to blend with your brick. Baby steps for me trying to play catchup after ignoring that area of my house for several years, maybe even since the house was painted 4 years ago. I don't mind hard outside work once I get started. Getting started is the hard part.
