Luckily the auction house was nearby because transporting it from afar could have been a big problem. I think that's why I got it.
xo, Rosemary
Content in a Cottagehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10075511188721176895noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7823162730236792476.post-89909090632324340202013-12-20T22:49:14.649-05:002013-12-20T22:49:14.649-05:00What a beautiful example of Staffordshire transfer...What a beautiful example of Staffordshire transferware ... I have collected blue & white and red & white for years. A few years ago, I sold many pieces and culled the collection to just a few pieces of each color.

I love the many varied patterns, and the history behind the scenes. I also sold most of my books that identify the patterns and potters. Staffordshire study is just so interesting.

Doesn't it just remind you of Toile de Jouy? Well, I could go on forever. That piece is just truly lovely.

Karen in VAKaren in VA (was CT)https://www.blogger.com/profile/10530127612439104603noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7823162730236792476.post-73002134718295770032013-12-20T21:13:33.493-05:002013-12-20T21:13:33.493-05:00Okay, I'm often envious of your wonderful anti...Okay, I'm often envious of your wonderful antiques, but this takes the cake! Webster once chewed a big tape dispenser like they use at the UPS store and I caught him in the act. I marched him from the attic down to the basement and he spent a 5 minute time out in the furnace room and he never chewed another thing. He still knows what the words TIME OUT mean.
xo, RosemaryContent in a Cottagehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10075511188721176895noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7823162730236792476.post-41566233712216267692013-12-20T17:26:08.483-05:002013-12-20T17:26:08.483-05:00What a beautiful large and unique bowl. Something tells me Tabitha and Webster aren't that kind of trouble makers, though!Dianahttp://www.flickr.com/photos/naturegrl64/noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7823162730236792476.post-38352733527856299272013-12-20T08:51:13.896-05:002013-12-20T08:51:13.896-05:00Carol...Thanks.
