Two Crowned Cranes | Coming and Going

A pair of crowned cranes earn the nickname 'heads and tails' as one turns its head away from the camera at the Biopark Zoo in Valencia, Spain. They are beautiful birds, aren't they? Real head turners!

Nothing To Do Is No Fun

This great quote came across my screen one day recently in my subscription to Quotes of the Day on my iGoogle page. It's so true, isn't it? Get ready for a crazy week beginning Tuesday.

Beautiful Closet Doors

I love the addition of louvers on these closet doors. They would be great in a mudroom so each family member could have a vented "locker" to hide their mess.

I might pack up the car and go on a perfect picnic this weekend. Have fun whatever you do.

Snake Spotting On A Recent Walk

A genuine snake in the grass. I'm not afraid of them and like the fact that they eat mice. I'm terrified of the latter.

Summer House or Greenhouse from Reclaimed Parts

I love this small outbuilding made from salvaged architectural parts. My geraniums would love living there for the winter. It's being constructed by this clever blogger.

Wild Turkey Spotting At The Cottage

I was loading the dishwasher just now and spotted a family of wild turkeys out for a walk in the tall grass toward the rear of my property. A mother, father, and two youngsters that have gotten really big since the last time I saw them. Pretty soon there will be lots of acorns down there for them to eat. They never fail to thrill me when I see them. Such big birds!
