Pug Pad | Made Me Smile

Isn't this the cutest and funniest thing ever to start your day with a smile? Such a great diy idea for a vintage suitcase. I would need a steamer trunk for Webster

Hot Water Bottle Cover from An Old Sweater

Start looking for old sweaters at rummage sales, thrift shops, garage sales, etc. to make covers for your hot water bottle. These would make great gifts for all the people in your life that you want to be nice and warm and cozy when they tuck into bed at night this winter. This one looks so easy...no pattern required. No zippers or buttons or buttonholes either. Nice.

Gray Day Inspiration

This gray interior matches the weather outside at my house all day. I can't wait until it gets a little darker so I can jump in my bed for some quality prime time TV with the first program being Antiques Roadshow. See you tomorrow.

Pedicure Socks + Yoga Socks | Free Knitting Patterns

I've never knitted any socks because turning the heel aways scared me. These socks would make cute gifts for your friends. I always see ladies walking around in the winter in flip flops with cotton sticking up from their toes and naked feet. These cute pedicure socks are just the ticket, aren't they? Love the yoga socks too.

Rainy Day At The Cottage

I'm not complaining about the rain because we really need it. I weeded in it yesterday and got soaked to the skin but it was fun. Webster whinned until I let him go indoors - he doesn't like to be wet. I'm putting everything in the garden to bed for fall. I know it's early but in pulling up the crabgrass, I've managed to pull up everything around it too. Now I'm down to bare earth. I think I should order a load of woodchips so I won't have mud in the house. Just letting you all know that progress has been made around here. Have a great week.

My Radiators Are The Best

Wow. It is feeling very much like fall today. Time to think about things like getting the furnace serviced. The decorative radiators here at the cottage put out the best kind of radiant heat you could ever hope for.

Daffodils in Green Vase

I found this green vase under the sink of my cottage when I bought it in 2001. I use it to be reminded of the original owner since I'm only the second one.

Cozy Nook Under The Stairs

I guess you could call this a windowless seat under the stairs. Don't you love it? The sisal runner and the rope railing are very nice too. via

Have a Beautiful Weekend

It is overcast at my house today which means I can continue my weeding project in constant shade. Forgive me if I am not overly enthusiastic. I hope your vista is full of sun rays and maybe a few sheep.
