Amazing Library

I have no idea where this is. It is absolutely an amazing building full of books. Bookstore? Library? University? What? Where? Private? Public? I'd love to be turned loose there to browse to my heart's content. Actually the velum bindings on the table would be perfect to start with. True happiness exists within those walls. Have a nice Sunday. Rosemary

Knitted Dog Toy | Woof

This has got to be the cutest knitted toy dog I've ever seen. I would not dare give anything like this to Webster the wonder dog because he would snag it immediately with his nails. He'd love it though and smother it with kisses. Unfortunately I can't furnish any instructions other than pointing you towards the website where I found it. http://blog.plymouthyarn.com/ Go to the site and type "dog toy" in the search box and it will come up after you scroll down a bit. This would be a great project for a new baby or favorite toddler and I'm sure it would end up being cherished. I love the "spot" on his eye and his blanket-stitched ears and back seam. He's the perfect pet...quiet, housebroken, and he doesn't eat much. WOOF. To a good home only, please!

Emma Watson | Fair-Trade Ethical Clothing Fan

'Rather than give cash to charities you can help people in poorer countries by buying the clothes they make,' says Harry Potter star Emma Watson, who's lending her considerable fashion savvy - and the modelling talents of friends - to a covetable new fair-trade clothing range. Read more. The more I learn about this lovely young lady, the more I like her. A shining star indeed with a conscience too. http://peopletree.co.uk/ (fair-trade and organic fashion)

Have a great weekend. I'm so happy that I live in the part of my state that did not get very much snow. It was mostly a coastal storm.

Emma Watson | Hollywood's Top Female Money Maker

Emma Watson is the #1 lady on Vanity Fair's List of 40 Biggest Moneymakers. She's only 19 and she made it to the top of the list ahead of Reese Witherspoon, Angelina Jolie, Cameron Diaz and Jennifer Aniston. Emma earned $30 million for her role in the final Harry Potter film. I like her so much. She seems to be very grounded and I think she will be around for many years to come. It's well-deserved success for a lovely young girl who has grown up behind the camera's lens. Fanpix image.

Weekend Reading

This wonderfully creative ad from Neilson Dairy promotes reading, going to the library, and drinking milk for a strong body and mind. I like it. It reminds me of my childhood. This young girl in in for some great reading. Luckily it appears to be summer and hopefully school is out.

Have a great weekend. Try to find a good book and escape. xo, Rosemary

Valentine To Make For The Teacher

We are expecting a snowstorm to hit overnight so I thought this would be the perfect time to show you this wonderful handmade Valentine. Gather all the supplies required while it is still clear outside so you can make some while you are snowed in. I saw this adorable mitten on a blog back in 2008. Luckily I was able to locate the link pretty easily. Thank you Google. Read all about it on a blog that no longer exists so I deleted the link. The red heart was created with a potato stamp and the mitten was crafted from old dictionary pages. I love the glassine envelope. I guess that determined the final size of the mitten cutout. You could also string some of these together to make a bunting to hang somewhere. Feel free to customize any way you want. Let me know if you have fun making these. Rosemary

Lovely English Cottage

Give me a good English cottage any day. Love this one. Scanned from a 2004 edition of Architectural Digest I picked up at the recycling depot on Tuesday. I could never have those yew hedges at my house. The deer around here consider yew to be candy. I am totally against trying to grow anything on their eat list so I am somewhat limited. They don't like English boxwood and that is a very good thing. I must get my passport renewed. England is calling.

Sleeping With Antiques

I slept a lot later than usual this morning for some reason, so bedrooms are on my mind. I love each and every one of these from Architectural Digest. It's so nice to sleep with antiques. I'm sure I'd have sweet dreams in all of these rooms.

We have bright sun shining on the snow today. I jumped out of bed and immediately put all of my bedding and towels in the washer. It's a perfect laundry day! Clothes line here I come. Have a great day, Rosemary

Tiny Gem of a Cottage

Awwww. How darling. Do want to peek inside, don't you? I love the bench with trellises on either side. I'm sure it will be a wonderfully fragrant place to sit once the plants climb and bloom.

Bell Ringer Hoists 22-Pound Bells For Bucknell

In case you thought Ben Ramseyer's name rang a bell, it really does. Just look at him. There he was Sunday at Morristown's Presbyterian Church on the Green, wielding a 22-pound chime with surgical precision as a member of the renowned Rooke Chapel Ringers of Bucknell University. This performance was part of their National Tour. Watch the video and look for them in your area. I missed this performance because of real estate. Boo Hoo.

I couldn't get the video to appear within this blog post. Here's the link. Read the article and watch the delightful video if you love Bell Ringers. These young people are wonderful! I understand that the performance was packed with admirers. The young man with the big bell is a member of the congregation and started ringing in kindergarten. How nice.

Aren't you glad I'm interested in so many things? Add Bell Choirs to the list. Rosemary

White and Inviting

Another stunning room. Simplicity personified. Spotless white woodwork and upholstery. Pleasing arrangement. A+ This would match my exterior today which is completely white because of the 4" of snow that was deposited overnight. It's beautiful. xo, Rosemary

Wonderful Child's Room

Nice. Perfect room for a child of any age including a second childhood. I forgot all about Groundhog Day yesterday. Staten Island Chuck said spring would be early this year and Punxsutawney Phil said spring is 6 weeks away. I think Phil is right. Enjoy the day, Rosemary.
