Every home needs a growlery.

I shall retreat to mine when the predicted 3-day storm with blizzard and 50mph winds arrives early next week. Every home needs a place for a self-imposed time out, right? Mine will be surrounded by things to make me snap out of it like books, a reading lamp, etc. It will be a happy place. via

The Future

Show this to a young person. The key word is "few". Somebody's got to do it, right? I've never been afraid of getting my hands dirty and I've always admired people who work with their hands. via

The real story behind 'Keep Calm and Carry On' poster

Watch this very enjoyable short film that tells the true story behind the 'Keep Calm and Carry On' poster discovered by the proprietors of an old book shop in England. I downloaded their [free] Keep Calm App to my iPhone and love it. I can't wait to play around with it. I am such a child. Click here if you are unable to watch this video on my blog. I promise you are going to like it ! ! !

Keep Calm and

I don't know about you but I can't stop thinking about the royal wedding. I loved Harry's messy hair so I couldn't resist making this poster. I can't believe I'm not even tired after waking up so very early to watch all the festivities live. Fairy tales really do come true.

Keep Calm and Watch the Wedding

The countdown has begun. What time will you be rising on Friday? Everything starts on my side of the globe and time zone at 3:00 am. I created this poster at the Keep Calm Generator site.

I linked this Royal Wedding poster here.

Antique Milk Glass Hen on a Nest

This is a miniature Hen on a Nest that sits on my windowsill over the sink. Did you know that genuine milk glass has an orange peel color when you hold it up to the light? The sun was shining through this piece when I took the photograph.
