Finale of Inspector Lewis on PBS tonight

Tonight is the final episode of the final season of Inspector Lewis. Boo Hoo. I love this show and being an armchair visitor to Oxford, England. Maybe they will bring in a new show starring Hathaway. That would be nice! Enjoy

Rosemary, I am in total agreement. A series featuring Hathaway with a Lewis cameo now and then. These characters are too important to leave us without wanting more.

I have been hoping they would build a show around Hathaway myself. I think I saw signs they might. Let's hope.

I'm with you in mourning the end of "Inspector Lewis". Perhaps they will attempt a new series with "Hathaway" (actor willing); remember at the very end of this episode, Hathaway turns to Lewis and says, "For the first time, I feel I finally earned this." I took that statement to mean a new series is coming...or am I just wishing too hard. Whoever thought when John Thaw died that a series with Inspector Lewis, alone, would be such a hit! Yes, indeed! We, my dear husband and myself, we love this TV serial. Inspector Lewis and Hathaway, both are fantastic. We will see them on friday.

My husband and I have enjoyed this program also and are so sad to see it end!

Nyla -- I thought it ended with an open door for a comeback by James Hathaway with occasional visits from Robby Lewis. Or maybe just a Christmas Special. I'll take anything, won't you?

I love this show as well and have recently been watching early episodes on YouTube. I hope they bring the series back. Hathaway is such an interesting character and I love Oxford.
