Mother Nature did a great job of adding the finishing touch of snow. So lovely. via

It is beautiful, a dream Christmas decor. The way the weather is humming along here in Virginia it will be quite a while until we get any white stuff falling from the sky. I still have pink begonias and geraniums and a huge fern thriving on my front porch. It's really quite crazy and not at all Christmassy looking.

That is the former home of my friends Linda and Joe Harris when they still lived in Oregon. They gave me a CD's of pics to share on my former blog and this is one of them. Someone long ago removed the watermark.

They were having a Holiday Open House and had this very unexpected and unusual snow. Their town didn't even have snow removal equipment but somehow the open house was still well attended. Linda and Joe now live in Nottingham, NH in the historic Major John Giles home and call their home and business Pumkin Hollow.

Linda....Thank you for the wonderful history behind this amazing house and photo. Your friends obviously have the best of taste. Can't wait to research their New Hampshire home.
Have a great holiday season.
