BRAMBLY HEDGE BY JILL BARKLEM

I wish I were sitting in an easy chair before an open fire and someone was bringing me a pie. I think I deserve one too. I've been working outside almost full time for the past 3 days doing my fall cleanup. I mowed everything for the last time today and it's looking fabulous. So happy. Isn't this the sweetest room ever? I adore children's books with interior design by animals. via

British animals have the best houses!

Adorable! It sent me on a search for more images and information, and jogged my memory that my son was given a clock of her's when he was born. She has a fun website to explore.

Oddly, I decorate in a similar style as the mice! :-)
Congratulations on getting through your fall yard work. That's a huge task, you do deserve a pie...see if Webster can help you out.

I, too, adore children's books with interior design by animals. There's something so inviting and comforting about them.

I love those books, the illustrations are wonderful. I just noticed how close the end of his tail is to the fire. YIKES!
Your garden looks beautiful.

These little mice truly "live" there. Don't you just love the open lower drawer in the chest. It's as if one of them had rummaged through it, perhaps in search of a sweater or pair of socks. The mistletoe tucked up into the bean lop-left is another touch lent by the sweet residents.
Will my praise of your hard work help to make up for no pie. The lawn is perfection.
Now for a day of rest?

... So adorable

I am also enchanted by these British animal houses .... I had all the Beatrix Potter books as a child.

One can look at this illustration for hours ... So sweet in these unsure times.
