Climbing Roses and a Beautiful Window

I have never had roses except for the wicked multiflora growing on the edge of my woods. The thorns on these beautiful pink roses look like the ones I've been dealing with. I'm happy with peonies and hydrangeas because they aren't dangerous. Smile. via

I hate the thorns as well. This place came with lots of roses, I have to wear leather gloves to trim them and I still get scratches. They do smell amazing though.

True about peonies and hydrangeas but these roses are very, very pretty. I think our climate is two hot and humid where I live to grow really beautiful roses, hydrangeas thrive though....and I love them.

This is a beautiful rose. I used to grow quite a few Old Garden Roses, but had rose gloves that went half way up my arm. They were a supple leather.

I grew so much flora that I loved, but nothing was quite as wonderful as what a beautiful rose like this would present to you. Many Old Garden Roses are carefree ... no disease, no fungus.

You only need the gloves if you want to cut some. I love this photo ... It makes me smile.

Karen in VA -- I already have the leather gloves with big cuffs for arm protection. My grandmother had beautiful old roses that smelled wonderful. Maybe I'll plant one in her memory some day.
