Adorable Cottage

Don't you love the brick exterior and wood shingle roof? It's tiny but it appears to have a fireplace. Let's peek in the window. via

How much would we have to pare down to live in this cute little cottage? I'm working on getting rid of unnecessary items but I'm not sure I could get rid of enough.

I love this cottage......and I have never seen anything on your blog....not one thing ...that I have not LOVED!

I missed the kerfuffle....(because I think....there was just a "crazy troll" out there!

In any case.....a person attacked me so viciously (not about my blog post...but about my comments on "cote de Texas" I almost stopped commenting....and then I almost stopped blogging!

Then I decided......"why would one weirdo sicko control you?" and he/she has never written to me.

there are just some really unhappy people out there....please, Rosemary.....the millions of us who love and look forward to your blog...(Your dog and cat are my dog and cat also!) and I have two cats and three dogs of my own! Webster and Tabitha are part of my family!!!

that is how we all feel! all million of us!!

I just decided (with help from my blogging friend) "not to let that person's problem become my problem"! YES!!!

that friend started the first blog I ever knew of! Newyorksocialdiary.com!

Thirteen years ago or something ! I learned the internet because of him......and the rest is history!

I adore your blog.....and you and your animals are "family"!

anonymous comments are not allowed on my "blog"! I may be slowing down .....and maybe stopping.....

but I had the greatest idea for a blog last night!

(I forgot it this morning!!)n It may fly back in "like a bird"!!

PEnelope

ps honestly,; in my whole life....and I am old (67) no one has ever said as cruel things about me as he/she did on the Cotedetexas blog! (she has so many comments she can't really screen them!

Honestly; I think I know who it is. a green-with-envy blogger who stopped blogging.

OH well....it doesn't matter. but believe me....it truly hurts.

Karen....I'm working on getting rid of "stuff" too. I have started selling on eBay again after a long period of not selling anything. It's fun, especially with the eBay mobile app for iPhone. So quick and easy.
Every day I donate something to the "library" at my post office, the "bin" at a local church for their rummage sales, or to a favorite non-profit thrift shop. I love seeing things leave my house and the things that come in have to be extra special.
I don't think I could possibly pare down enough for this tiny cottage, but it would be fun to try.

I don't know if I could pare down enough to live here either... but wouldn't this make a lovely little get away...or a studio for that truly artistic person.
As long as there is a stove for making coffee...I'm there!

Hi Rosemary ... I do love this post. I have chosen to peel down too and live in a small space. I have a climate controlled storage unit that has so many of my things. Organized very well, because I use it frequently. It's so handy. All my photos, extra bedding that I change with seasons ... etc

It's perfect, I even have my craft desk and accessories there. I know the people who work there and it's a great atmosphere.

If I want to move, it will be easy. I'm still hoping for that perfect carriage house on a country estate. Ha

What is your user name on eBay? I'm going to return to selling as soon as it gets cold. Summer has not traditionally been a good selling season.

Cheers,

Karen in VA

Karen in VA -- Your setup sounds perfect and the storage unit must be amazing. I wish I were that organized---but I'm getting there, bit by bit.
My seller name on ebay is springvalleyantiques and the five things I have listed have bids. It's very exciting for me. I decided to take the time I was spending on Instagram and convert it to taking photos for ebay and it's working. I am listing everything with a starting price of 99 cents with up to 12 photos and those listings are free. The iPhone app for ebay is amazing and easy and fun. Check it out. I'm sure your storage unit is full of things that owe you nothing that you wouldn't miss if you never saw them again. Those are the things you should list first to get your feet wet again. That's what I'm doing. xo, Rosemary

Well, I have sold quite a few things already, but nothing since I got my iPhone last year. Thanks for the vote of confidence on posting from your iPhone.

Thanks for the vote of confidence on posting from your iPhone. I'll be going with that... Sounds so much easier than the old way xo

Karen in VA -- Your phone will make a certain pleasant trilling sound when an item gets a bid or when someone asks a question. When you make a sale, your phone will make a cash register sound - cha-ching. So fun. xo, Rosemary
