Restored Farmhouse Bathroom

I love this "new" bathroom in an old house. The smallish sink with the large marble surround and backsplash looks perfect. The old wide-board floors were saved and will enjoy a new life in this wonderful bath. Wish we could see the rest of the room, don't you?

Modern technology without spoiling the integrity of an old lovely historic house is always welcome.

I've never understood those who buy an old home and then modernize the interior---not just for convenience either---no, it's a sleek, modern style.

As a regular reader, though infrequent commenter, what an unexpected pleasure to see a lovely renovation right in my area of New York's upper Hudson Valley (just southeast of Albany), and by a noted local architect, no less, whose work is recognized nationally for her meticulous attention to historic detail and thoughtful updating. A pleasure to see this - thanks for sharing it!

I want the house and the bath. I sure would keep all the wide planks and the porcelain sink. Beautiful!
