The Escape Artist: Sunday on PBS

I watched Episode 1 last night and I'm so happy I did. It was riveting. I recorded it last Sunday. The finale (Episode 2) is tomorrow night. Can't wait. David Tennant is wonderful.

Lucky for you, PBS is repeating Episode 1 tomorrow (Sunday) night from 8:00-9:30 pm and the new and final Episode 2 from 9:30-11:00 pm. You will be able to watch it straight through. I might watch Episode 1 again. Here is the PBS link for The Escape Artist on Masterpiece Mystery.

NOTE: DUE TO RIGHTS RESTRICTIONS, THIS PROGRAM WILL NOT BE AVAILABLE FOR ONLINE STREAMING. You will have to watch it live or record it. Don't miss it. You are welcome!

Thank you for this hot tip, Rosemary. I shall tune it for sure tomorrow to catch up with episode 1 and continue with 2. Cannot wait. It seemed that aside from reruns, summer television had entered a dry spell.

I watched Ep 1 last week. It's a genre of murder mystery I've dubbed Gritty Reality. As opposed to the gentle ones like Foyle's War, or the charming ones like Poirot. I'm not fond of the gruesome thrillers but I couldn't tear myself away last week. Now I have to watch the end to find out what happens. It's certainly full of twists and turns. Tennant is great.

Fortunately, we had forgotten that our DVR was set to record Masterpiece Mystery, so when we got back from a few days away, we saw we had recorded the first episode. Great show -- can't wait for the finale tonight.

Our Washington DC (WETA) PBS station didn't pick it up so we don't get to see. We don't have Father Brown either. :-( I'm not a happy PBS supporter.

Like one of your other readers, I was not fond of the first episode. It seemed a little too close to the nightly news. But Mr. B watched it recorded (he was away during the live broadcast) and then we watched the finale last evening and I was glad I watched it. Tennent is wonderful, I liked him as Dr. Who also.
