Day is Done

I snapped this photo about an hour ago when I thought about wrapping things up to watch Call The Midwife and I am almost finished. Thank goodness for DVRs!!! Hope you had a great weekend. I certainly did. xo

I was so sad to read that Jessica Raine left Call The Midwife and this will be the last season.

Oh no, now I am sad too. I will look for an article. I love that program. I got up early to watch last night's episode. Thanks for the update.

Oh, dear, Catherine and Rosemary, if this indeed is true, I shall be very sad, too. Unable to dig up this information, I will cling to the hope that it is unfounded. I did just find what follows - Linda . . .

Long before Jennifer Worth's memoirs were filmed, she spotted Miranda Hart and knew that she would be perfect to play Chummy Browne, the six-foot-tall, ungainly, clumsy midwife who features in her books. Miranda agreed to take the role of Chummy if the books were ever filmed.
The midwives are based in Nonnatus House, which is named after St. Raymond Nonnatus (nonnatus being the Latin for "not born") who was born by Cesarean section, and is the patron saint of pregnant women and childbirth.

Oh no, really? that makes me so sad! I loved what the narrator said at the end last night "Perfection is not a polished thing..."

Hello all....
I read that "Jenny" will depart at the end of Season 3 but there are plans for a Season 4.
So we have the rest of the current season plus one more.

Thank you Rosemary for that bit of hope. I love so many of the characters on the show. It will be hard to loose Jenny but I will be happy if the show goes on for another season.

Catherine...
The way I understand it we will have Jessica Raine as Jenny off and on throughout season 3. She won't be quitting for personal reasons like some of the characters did on Downton Abbey. It will be true to the book for her to leave.
I do love Call the Midwife. Glad you do too.
