Perfect Photo Arrangement

I'm impressed. This couldn't have been easy! I wonder if they made a template first? via

I think I have seen a kit for hanging groups of frames with a template that you tape to the wall. It shows where to hammer the nails in for each picture, then you pop the template off and you're ready to hang. I think the frames were part of the kit, so you'd get this unified look. Certainly would save a lot of headaches, but then you couldn't really use your own miscellaneous collection of frames. I can see laying a big piece of paper on the floor, arranging the frames in a pleasing matrix, and drawing around each one. Would be fairly easy to find the nailing points from there. Probably something that could be found on Pinterest.

I know I could do this but would hate to see the number of failed holes. I have plaster walls so I wouldn't even consider an arrangement like this. I used to do custom framing and often had to help the customers hang their projects.

Wow. Looking at all the photos, you can see all the mats are the same size as are the frames. Obviously, a custom done job. You would have a little leeway with the actual photos but still very impressive! Lovely to look at.

The Perfect Picture Wall is a kit that comes with a template and frames. I have it in my closet. Still daunting to me even with the template. Plus I need to choose what pictures to put together. It's one of my projects for 2014.

That is perfect. I can't imagine how many holes I'd end up putting in the wall to get it like that. Why use a ruler when you can eyeball it? :)

Karen. HaHa. My sentiments exactly. I've studied this carefully and I think I would start at the bottom first and match all the outside edges and do the middle last. How would you do it? I have always had swiss cheese walls anytime I moved.

How about Command picture hanging hooks. If you look at their website, they sell all sorts, and they're removable.
