December, defined + Being an Introvert.

via
It's getting brighter outside and the intensity of the falling snow has diminished greatly. The accumulation on top of the balcony railing has disappeared because it's 34° outside. I still haven't been able to force myself to go out and get my snow shovels. I will postpone it as long as I can and then I'll clean off my car too. For now, we are all enjoying a cozy cottage feeling.
I read this article and have determined that I am an introvert. I've always preferred listening to talking and now I know why.
23 Signs You're Secretly an Introvert

This article in Time Magazine by Susan Cain explains the difference between shy and introverted.

I shoveled ice from the driveway in hopes of getting out today. County dump truck came through with a front blade. That didn't make a heck of a lot of sense to me...if you're coming through anyway, why not dump sand or fine lava rock en route? I guess skimming over the ice hastens its thaw but some areas never see sunlight. Too much slipping and sliding for me. Had to leave the car stranded across the road and walked back to the house. You're wiser than I am. Stay put, Rosemary.

Just left a comment about snow and ice. Hit publish before signing it. Came from "Gail, in northern California". Yes, it snows in northern California and I am none too happy about it right now.

Oh, Gail....I'm so sorry to hear about your bad snow day. Having to walk away from your car couldn't have been an easy thing to do. I hope you get everything situated soon and can stay inside. I had to go out yesterday but managed to stay at home all day today. I'll be thinking about you.

Great post, I loved it. I test on the fence in Myers/Briggs; introvert extrovert ... but I have all the ear markings of an introvert. It was reassuring to see some of these signs are not a result of being "strange" ... something that extroverted people tend to think of us.

They could never be happy living alone. A neighbor told me that she thinks extroverted people can be seen as "too needy" ... I can understand that. They need to connect with other people, who may not be so anxious.

I will keep this post ... thanks again.

Loved reading about introverts. I could answer yes to most of these. I've alway known I am an introvert although I think it surprises others.

Now that I've read this article I think you are right about being an introvert. As for myself, I think I'm a combo, both extroverted and introverted, is that possible? As I've grown older I think I've become more introverted. I'm bookmarking this article!
