A Few Favorites

Honey Crisp Apples are my favorite variety. They have the perfect combination of taste and crispness. They snap when you bite them and explode into a taste sensation like no other apple.

Webster, in all his handsomeness, enjoying a beautiful day on Saturday. He's my favorite lawn ornament.

My current food obsession is grated raw beets. I peel them with a potato peeler, cut them into smallish cubes that will fit in the Cuisinart tube, and then I push them through with the shredding attachment in place. They are so good in my daily green salad.

Certainly favourites.

What breed(s) is Webster? I see a lot of boxer, but sometimes other breeds.

Webster is a pound rescue. I got him when he was a 9-week puppy with "UNWANTED" posted on his cage door. He is part chocolate lab and part pit bull and he got the best traits of both breeds. Maybe there is some boxer in him too but he doesn't drool. He turned out to be the perfect dog for me after almost 12 years.

You are an inspiration! Eating at least one salad a day is my personal goal. Haven't got there yet. Honey Crisps are my absolute favorite!

1. Oh Webster's story is so precious. A charmer.

2. Honey Crisp apples have been sent from heaven ... where were they all these years? I sometimes wonder if they were just hybridized in the last few years ... thoughts?

3. You and Webster are so lucky to have each other.

Good night, just watched the DVR'd Good Wife .. holy cow, it doesn't get much better than this.
