"Reading is a discount ticket to everywhere." So true. I love this quote. via

Absolutely true! The worlds you can travel when lost in the dimension of the imagination, perpetuated by words on paper :)

I have been rereading/watching "The Namesake" by Jhumpa Lahiri. One of her characters says about the same thing, you can travel anywhere in the world without moving an inch. I suppose the internet serves the same purpose now.

I've had a crazy chaotic summer and I've really missed my book friends. My sister listens to a lot of books but I find my understanding and retention are better if I read them. I had one book out from the library so long this summer that I could no longer renew it and I never finished reading it....that kind of sums up my year.
