We were blessed to visit Dunrobin a couple years ago. I blogged about our visit at: http://teri-gonewalkabout2.blogspot.com/2011/11/on-road-durness-to-dornoch.html
The gardens are just beautiful. A special treat was that Hubby was allowed to play one of the pianos in the drawing room.
Scotland and England. pictures like this immediately transport me. I have loved both since I was a child. the two are in my dna . . . is that why? I don't know. but it's as if I would feel at home. like I belong. like the land is in my heart somehow.
It does resemble Shrimpy's castle. I found an interesting article about it here: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/debate/article-2253504/The-real-Dukes-colourful-ancestors-make-Shrimpy-s-unruly-clan-look-tame-comparison.html

Ahh Scotland, one of the most beautiful places that I've visited.

My father worked there as a young man before the war. We visited recently. Beautiful, with many family photos displayed inside.

What a beautiful castle and grounds. Can I visit?

Rosemary, Dunrobin certainly resembles "Shrimpy's" home.
