Playing House

I moved my bargain shelf to a new location in the living room and staged the shelves over the weekend. Much happier now. I polished all of my silver trophies too. Slowly but surely, I'm getting things spiffy again! The black tole lampshade for my candlestick lamp is a new acquisition. I think it's perfect, don't you. I was thrilled to find it for $3.00! Good morning Rosemary,
I do think it's perfect. The whole area is perfect. Esp. love the small landscape. I'm always on a lookout for them when shopping. Have a wonderful day. It's SUNNY and dry in Ohio this morning! Sara

Rosemary,
You find the best sales...I love the little tole lamp shade and the shelf looks great with the treasures you've displayed.

The colors in your corner make it look warm and cosy. I can't believe the tole lampshade was only $3, what a find! I'm out antiquing tomorrow, I hope I find something just as fabulous.

I love a great bargain especially if it involves recycling. Your decor vignette is charming and also very tidy and clean.

Love it all! I love visiting estate sales on the last days...it is almost always 50% off. There is always a treasure everyone else missed. Enjoy yours! Bonnie

Rosemary,
What is the long object that is in the frame? Love your decorating!

That long thing is an antique thermometer. There is a reading for 'blood boil' too. It fits perfectly in that spot and stops just short of the ceiling molding.

Glad you like my decorating.
