I enjoy seeing the extra details they put in, timeless.
Recently designed a garden update for a similar house.
Took out the foundation plantings to expose the beautiful brick work.
Here, lawn should go to the foundation with a pair of large iron urns/plinths on axis with the brick foundation arches.
Replace urns on brick wall with 'bowl' of cast stone flowers with creeping vine growing on wall & 'bowls'.
Fabulous, & cheaper than the foundation plantings.
