Charles Dickens said it very well. I always have to watch A Christmas Carol on Christmas Eve, usually very late on Christmas Eve.

These images evoke memories of what seemed like a simpler, happy time in history. I suspect we will one day think back to this current time frame with fond nostalgia as well.

Merry Christmas, Rosemary. I just returned from a long walk with Josie all the while wishing you and Webster could enjoy it wish us. Thank you for the review of vintage Christmas cards . . . so charming just as are all of the messages and images you send to us throughout the year . . . I consider these cherished gifts. My visits to the Cottage each day, first upon waking, sometimes mid-day and always before turning in are eager for I know they will bring pleasure, interest, peace, comfort . . . how ever can I thank you for all the lovely moments I linger there.
