My Mom is in the Hospital

We went to the emergency room yesterday per doctor's orders and we are still waiting for a room. The inn is full because of the hurricane. We are at the top of the list. She is dehydrated and more. Updates to follow.

Dear Rosemary, I'm so sad to read this post. Hoping by the time you read this comment that your dear mum is now situated in a room and comfortable.

The past couple of weeks have been so stressful and difficult and now to add this on top of all that you have both been through is just maddening and I know so worrisome for you.

You are such a good daughter and will continue to be so; please know that you are both in my thoughts and prayers. May all your inner strength come to fore as you continue to care for your mum. Sending you a big hug... XO V

Ohhh, you have my sympathies, I remember dehydration trips to the ER with my Mom as well, so many things go wrong at once if dehydration occurs, a delicate balance that wants to stay in balance. I was so scared for her, I know you are scared too. That IV is a beautiful thing! Take care of you, too!

I just arrived home from a lovely luncheon with dear girl-friends.

One of our group said, "I really like this. Do all of you get together every Thursday?" We've been getting together for lunch, her included, for months. Many of us she's known for years. No one said anything, but our hearts sank.

And now to come home to this...I feel like you and your mom are good friends who are suffering through another difficult time together. Wish I could be there to help. If nothing else, I would be sure Mr. Webster was fed and walked.

Please know we're all wishing her WELL.

I so hope your mom does well.

Too much stress; poor you and poor New Jersey!

I have often thought you are so lucky to have your Mom!

I lost mine when I was only 33; Now my daughter is 43; and I'm still kicking! (however my mother was 40 when she had me; and I was 23! Big difference!

I'm holding good thoughts!

Dear Rosemary,
I am slow to come upon this news but hope with the time which has elapsed since you posted it, the fluids your mother has been receiving are making her feel ever so much better. Such a time this has been for both of you during and after the dreadful storm . . . and now this. Rosemary, as the professionals look after your mom, please promise to go easy on yourself.
As you can see, we all are standing by for you . .
Group hug,
Linda
