So Far, So Good at My Cottage

There is nothing to report from the cottage this morning. We are as prepared as we will ever be and still have power. We will just hunker down and wait. The only thing I didn't do was have the gutters cleaned but my guess is the wind will do it for me. Nothing earth shattering happened overnight and it didn't start raining until dawn. This is just the beginning. Be safe everyone. I have a tub full of water, food, crank radio and flashlight, candles, matches, a gas stove, etc. I think we will be fine -- fingers crossed. via

My hope is that all of you folks in harms way will weather the storm and come out of it with very little damage and no loss of life. Sounds like you are prepared.

Rosemary,

You are certainly ready! And if the weather here is any indication you are going to need it. We have been pounded since Friday! And today in fact is the worst part. The flooding is terrible and the sound of the wind is like a freight train!

Be safe, I am thinking of you and praying for your safety and of Webster.

I never doubted that you would be fully prepared. Nice to know that even if the power goes out you can enjoy yourself with a good book. I have a visitor who's departure is now delayed two days. I've been enjoying introducing her to Sherlock, we've watched all 6 episodes and are moving on to the BBC's Lord Peter Wimsey series. Stay warm and safe
