A wonderful metaphor indeed.

I am always grateful to those 'yesterday' who have planted the beautiful old trees that I see and can walk amidst today.

Tall and majestic or smaller and full of beautiful, gnarled character, I adore trees so very much.

And, whether planted by human hands or sprung from the belly of Mother Nature herself, I feel most at home where I can be amongst them.
I guess that's why I gravitate, and choose, to live in or near forests.

And my heart truly breaks when I see aged ones that are felled, regardless of the reason, "good or bad", I quietly mourn their loss.

Vicki....

The Greek Proverb is wonderful.

I have the perfect blend of open land surrounded by woods. Soon I'll be raking the leaves.

Enjoy your weekend.
