Virginia Creeper

The Virginia Creeper vines are starting to turn red, a sure sign of autumn. I made a real dent in my weeding this weekend and did a big mowing from the road to the rear all yesterday afternoon. Weeding is being done piecemeal so I don't burn myself out. That job is somewhat demoralizing if you know what I mean.

Weeding is my favorite thing, and I don't have a lot of them.

Pulled canna lillies in mom's garden last weekend. 100's of them.

Texas, Galveston Bay. Felt good to pull & to sweat.

I have a friend who loves to weed, and to fold clean warm laundry. I absolutely do not understand her.

Thank you for the beautiful textures and colors in this photo. A nice treat to wake up to.

Lauren....

I am seriously starting to doubt my abilities to garden. I think I am going to switch to conifers and just have a lovely green garden with lots of wood chips to keep out the weeds.

My creeper is also turning lovely reds...and has some berries...I don't have any weeds here at home...but ,on a large property such as yours, it is very difficult to control them...as I have discovered at my Lake cottage gardens...

Cheers!
