The History of Labor Day

Young Mill Worker in Alabama

In 2008 I put together a great History of Labor Day and I still like reading it and watching the video with historic footage. In case you missed it or want to refresh your memory, click here
We have a gloomy rainy day at my cottage. I hope your weather is better if you are going to a parade or having a picnic.

I'm laboring today to clean up my house after having a family dinner for 17 yesterday. I tried 4 new Pinterest recipes and 3 were hits. My favs were the fresh peach cobbler and the sczehuan green beans.

It rained here yesterday and is overcast today. I was really greatful for the rain, our yard needed that God given moisture and it got me off the hook from having to water.

Must go mop the kitchen floor, they say there is no rest for the wicked. I'm sure you wil find something great to do despite your gloomy weather. I confess, I love gloomy rainy days.
