Charming Country Kitchen

Renovated 1890s cottage, Ohio. The Workshops of David T. Smith. I love the bucket bench island.

Now, this is my kind of kitchen!
Cute, unpretentious with loads of character. Wooden bench tops and that wonderful sink in front of a window looking out onto (what I imagine is) a lovely garden....oh :)

I also love the classic 'running horse' wind vane.
From my early childhood, it was an iconic image I used to see and associate with American barns.
I always wanted to have one - preferably to visit the US and buy one of my own.

Hi, David is a long time friend. More of his work can be seen at davidtsmith.com. His work is wonderful. People across the nation have had him design and install kitchens. He can, and has, built many styles of kitchens.

I love the island as well, and the wooden bowls there in different sizes are just perfect and multi purpose!

I'm glad you all like this small country kitchen as much as I do. I'll check out David T. Smith's website. I want to know more!!

Angela....It looks like a great old one...and it's deep too for all of your canning projects.
