Miniature Portrait of A Dog

On display in the National Museum of Scotland in Edinburgh. I'm not sure if it's a miniature on ivory or a micro mosaic. I want it....badly! via

Oh that is beautiful! I am going to have to look for that the next time I am in Scotland!

Hope you are enjoying some cooler weather!

What a beautiful miniature tribute to a truly noble creature - the dog.

Hum...It really is. I would love to see it in person. That would be a double treat as it would mean I was in Scotland :)

AI was so, so lucky to join a tour given by the "Antiquarian Gep Durenburger" (google him!)

What a trip! Scotland is my favorite! What gorgeous and sad.....sad tales....of the "crofts" I sobbed!!I

Such a beautiful country! England has not been nice to the Scottish......(not the Irish, either......but...no politics!)

I had no idea of the history....but seeing the lovely houses and meeting the lovely people who today live in them.......was a magnificent experience!!
I will never forget it!!

There were ghosts in the castle we stayed in!

Yikes!!
