Laundry Day in Rome

I love this shot of laundry hanging outside against the ivy in Rome, Italy. There is nothing like the smell of clothes that were dried outside in the sunshine. Having greenery behind is a super bonus! via

Anonymous said...: One of the guides we had while traveling in Italy told a delightful story about how her mother critiqued wash hung out to dry. Apparently, there is/was a correct and incorrect way to do this & it said a great deal about a woman in her day. I give this dear washer lady an A+ for using the ivy background.

I would give the laundress an A+ too for this all white load of wash hanging out to dry.

I've never been to Italy.
