Cheerful Cottage Style

I love everything in this photo and wish I could see more, agreed? The yellow really brings the sunshine inside the cottage. Enjoy your Sunday! via

Love that cottage look with the wide floor boards and paneling. When I was a child, my aunt in Woodcliff Lake, N.J. had a house with an upstairs just like that, with the heavy wood doors with iron latches just like in your picture. Even as a child I thought it was cool. Have a great Sunday.

my small cottage is very pale yellow on the outside, with french blue shutters and white trim. it is cheery and i do love it.
but not sure i could take constant yellow inside! but aren't cottages always so cozy looking.
even the word cottage.
you just don't get the same feeling when you say mc mansion!

On this summery day, this precious cottage is especially appealing. As you do, I love it all . . . the colors and the way the blue transitions happily to the yellow hallway with both set off by white trim and wicker and ironstone and hydrangeas and those floors, oh my golly, they are really wonderful, as well. Wish I could wake up there. Even the sleep deprived would feel refreshed.
Happy Sunday, dear Rosemary,
Linda

Rosemary,
What is it about wood walls in a cozy setting. This is lovely and I could see myself lazing about reading a book and sipping iced tea.

I don't think there is a more attractive combination than a pretty yellow and soft blue. This is perfect.

Yellow and blue are always so appealing together. My house is small, so I like to think of it as a cottage also. Always enjoy your posts!
