Vintage Bookmobile from Chicago Public Library

One of the joys of my childhood was the bookmobile! The other was the ice cream truck.

Hi Rosemary,
Me too! Oh what adventures We experienced in those books from our cherished bookmobile! If I had to make a choice I would have to give up the ice cream!Have a great week.

I totally agree with your remarks as I feel the same way. I've had my nose in several books for the past 5 weeks to the detriment of all other responsibilities, I think it's time to get the balance in my life back on track.

Oh...I want this photo framed. I live in the outskirts of Chicago. I grew up in this lovely city. I think anything vintage especially photography from here is great! How sweet with the children and to hear your story.

Rosemary,
What a charming photograph. We didn't have book mobiles but we had ice cream trucks, milk delivery and the Helms Bakery Truck delivering donuts and bread and such. Oh what a fun time strolling down memory lane.
