Do you fully embrace winter?

I think this is hilarious. I almost never complain about the cold unless the power is off and the furnace doesn't work. But absolutely nothing brings me to my knees like the heat of summer. via

I really don't mind winter until around mid March, then I am ready for warm weather...

I didn't complain either until I lived in NE Ohio for a few years. Around here we're counting on global warming. That's our dream :)

Rosemary,
I knew we were kindred spirits! I love the cold and am actually sad about the warm temps we (so. California) is experiencing right now!
Give me winter over summer any day!

Kudos to you for enjoying the cold. Despite the unbearable summers for the past two years in my neck of the woods, and the fact that the heat seems to bother me more as I age, I still detest the cold because I hate to bundle up to go out in the cold. Therefore I tend to hibernate.

I just snorted- in the nicest possible way, of course. Funny. So true it's funny, funny. I love hating the heat.

I totally agree! What's not to like? Lovely down filled comforters, cozy quilts and sweaters, hot cups of tea and a roaring fire. The added bonus is browsing through seed catalogs and the knowledge that glorious spring will be coming up next! Summer is overrated!!

I love living where I have a change of seasons, but admit that I do prefer winter. I chuckle at people that say they LOVE summer, yet spend it INSIDE in the air conditioning.
???????
Have a great weekend, Rosemary.

Summer is my least favorite season. This global warming thing truly has me concerned. I love the beach, so we go in the winter.

Oh, I HATE the summer! This past summer was really tough with the drought. (Texas) The heat index reached 115 degrees some days, and then add the humidity which makes it 1,000 times worse. I don't know how my niece and nephew do marching camp for band in that weather.

My worst time with the heat was after Hurricane Ike when we had no electricity for 15 days.

I've dreaded summer ever since I was a little girl (pre-air conditioning) when my mother would cool me off by putting cold, wet washcloths on my forehead. I love to breathe-in cold winter air. Always wanted to experience the winter solstice in a Nordic country. Or hear wolves howl on a snowy night.
