Deep in a Beautiful Forest

I adore this photo by Ivan Shishkin found here.
Doesn't it look like a painting?

Hi Rosemary,
I love this photo and it does look like it could be a painting. Of course, I could see a group of fairies down by the waters edge or a unicorn gingerly walking in these woods as it is very magical looking. It's kinda Grimm-like. Thanks for sharing.

What an amazing image. Where is this forest? I'll bet someone has painted this before, it's so lovely.

Hi. I think this is a painting. From Wikipedia: Ivan Ivanovich Shishkin (Russian: Ива́н Ива́нович Ши́шкин; 25 January 1832 – 20 March 1898) was a Russian landscape painter closely associated with the Peredvizhniki movement.

His work is beautiful.
