I love this idea and have no idea why I never thought about doing recessed shelves behind the WC in any of my past construction projects. via

I just redid our guest bathroom and thought about doing it, unfortunately, our walls are not very deep and the contractor said the shelves would have been too shallow to be useful for what I wanted to use them for (like the towels). I love the look and will keep it in mind for other rooms as the need comes up.
