I used to do this in my previous life :)

Now, that's a real pantry. Love it. Someone isn't going hungry real soon.

Me too. Just buy a bunch of jars and remove the labels before you display them on a shelf. Oh, and don't forget to label the bottoms so you don't forget what is inside. ha In my former life I also baked bread and made beautiful elaborate quilts!

Add this to the long list for my mother, "I Don't Know How She Did It".

There were eight of us and she canned all sorts of things...even corn. Thinking back, I wish she had had help and I wish we had appreciated it more and told her so. Maybe the grins on our faces were enough.

I have an pantry in my old basement meant just for canned goods. Why does mine not resemble this one??? On my list to do, since I have retired. Yay!

What an incredible feeling of accomplishment that must give a person. I freeze everything. It's not nearly as impressive looking as rows of jars on a shelf. Beautiful!

Me, too. My recipes for spiced pears and peaches and watermelon rind pickles called for pounds and pounds of sugar. It's been a very long time since I stocked my cellar.
