Autumn

It's time to give the grass a crew cut so the leaves will blow away. I need a couple of sunny dry days before I get on my riding mower once again. Have a good week. Will you be driving to New England along with the other leaf peepers? via

Rosemary, Two years ago, we went on a bus tour all the way from Indiana to Maine, during October. It was a wonderful time. The whole state of Pennsylvania was beautiful. Seems the time for getting the lawns ready for leaf blowing came so soon. Smiles to you,Susie

Going to have to peep at the leaves locally, too many other obligations. But I sure wish I could live in that brown farmhouse for a while.

Wow, that is amazing color. I think this is the year to leaf peep. I'm hoping for lots of amazing color as a gift from soooo much rain.

Just got home last night from WP, our grass must be 8 inches high and I'm hoping dry enough to be mowed.

No leaf peeping in New England this year. Yet, all I need do is recal my visit to CT in 2001 and I get "heady." I was there for 6 weeks and saw it all from blush to crimson and gold to the bare silhouettes of the trees. And, just when it seemed that Mother Nature had put away her paint brush, she touched low bushes with a peachy-pink.
Happy autumn splendor to all.

Reminds me of New Hampshire and Vermont, where we often went during the Fall when visiting my grandparents in Boston. Funny, I just wrote a post about how much I am missing Autumn here in Seoul....this is another reminder of why I'm missing it!
